If I was the President...

My next post will focus on what I would do if I was the President of the US. I'm not quite old enough to enter the race, but I will be by the next election.

If I was the President...

I would remind the people of this quote. "We hold these truths to be self evident: that all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights; that among those are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" What that means is that we should treat everybody equally! All of us have these rights, especially the life, liberty and pursuit of happiness ones! I believe that those rights should be honored and I will honor them if I were president.

People have the right to choose whatever they want to do! They have the right to defend their choice if they need to. They have the right of free speech and the press. They have the right to marry another one of that person's sex (gay marriage). They have the right to have a baby if they want to (planned parenthood/abortion). I will gladly honor those rights and the rights of everybody if I was elected to the big oval office!

The next thing I would do if I was president is enforce stricter and stronger background checks, especially for airlines.

I believe that with stricter background checks on airlines, we can figure out who is who and if a certain person going on board a plane to enter the US is a terrorist or not. With these checks, we can say "Welcome" to those who want to enter the US with the intent of having a good time, seeing their families or gaining a better life. They would still need to work, but they could work at whatever job they wanted too!

However, if that said person wanted to harm the US, then I would say "You're not getting in!" I believe that stronger background checks will help diminish or maybe eliminate the possibility of a terrorist attack.

I would also enforce stronger and stricter gun laws.  I believe that, if you are mentally ill, you should not own a gun at all! If you are willing to prove that you are mentally stable, then I say prove it! If you can, then you get a gun, but if not, then no gun for you!

The following events are example of events that actually happened because of mentally ill people getting a hold of guns:

Sandy Hook elementary school
Colombine High School
Aurura, CO theater

Those events happened in the past 2 decades! I believe that, with stronger and stricter gun laws, events like these will diminish around the country. The sad thing is, the events that I mentioned were 3 of many!

I think that every state in the US should enforce these new gun laws!

One more thing. I would never, ever enforce any immigration bans! That's where the background checks would come in handy! Like I said before, if you want to come to the US for fun, then welcome! If you want to hurt the US, then sorry, but you're not coming here!

That's what I would do if I was President of the US!
